Am I Really God's Masterpiece?

Diane Burton • January 5, 2018

My heart's desire is to share with you from my book...

As the new year begins, many of you reading this will have made resolutions to lose weight, exercise, eat clean, get healthy, etc. And, these are all great, wonderful resolutions. However, what is your reason for making these resolutions?

I recently heard Les Brown talk about having compelling reasons for your commitments. He recommends having 5 compelling reasons for going after your dreams, your commitments, for being a change agent and a conqueror. As I listened to him, I began to think of the compelling reasons I do the things I do and one is to get the message of being God's Masterpiece out to you and to the world.

My heart's desire is to share with you from my book, The Master's Masterpiece. The book has 10 chapters and each chapter is a question with four answers. Each week, in my Masterpiece Mindset Moments on Facebook, I will share something from one of the answers so you have something encouraging about being God's Masterpiece for 40 weeks. Since there are 52 weeks in the year, I'll incorporate some other thoughts or recipes to go along with being God's Masterpiece so you are encouraged all year long.

So, if you made New Year's resolutions, what are your compelling reasons for them? I have discovered that the compelling reasons that keep me going are the ones centered around the heart/emotions. For example, it brings joy to my heart to think the message of The Master's Masterpiece allows me to share about God's amazing creation, to serve you and to hear about your "aha's" and breakthroughs. I get so excited knowing you are releasing limiting beliefs and breaking through the things that have held you back in the past.

The title of this post is "Am I Really God's Masterpiece?" and the answer is a resounding YES! Ephesians 2:10 tells us that we are God's masterpiece, created in Christ Jesus for good works. God created you, made you unique, made you like no one else on this earth.

What do you see when you look in the mirror? Do you see flaws or a beautiful creation from God? Do you see someone you love or are you critical of the person you see?

As you begin this new year with your plans, goals and hearts desires, I pray you will include making time to read these posts so you can focus on taking care of your beautiful creation from God, your masterpiece. I also pray you will find your compelling reasons for taking care of your masterpiece.

Progress isn't always a straight line
By Diane Burton August 19, 2021
I decided to treat the dirty window as one of my daily tasks. I wrote in my planner on a specific day and time when I would clean that window! I’m grinning as I write this thinking, "I scheduled a time to clean the window?"; yet that’s how I knew I would get it done.
